Terms of use
Data source and licence
Snowdesk renders avalanche bulletins published by the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF. The underlying data is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Snowdesk is not a substitute for the official bulletin
Snowdesk renders avalanche bulletins published by SLF. It is an information service only — it does not replace the official SLF bulletin, professional avalanche training, or your own assessment of conditions in the field. Always verify current conditions directly with SLF before venturing into avalanche terrain.
Always consult SLF and make your own on-site assessment
Avalanche conditions change rapidly and vary with aspect, elevation, and recent weather. No digital service can capture every local hazard. Before entering avalanche terrain, check the official SLF bulletin at avalanches.org, seek current local knowledge, and make your own on-site assessment. Your safety is your responsibility.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snowdesk and its operator shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, information displayed on this site. Snowdesk is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, timeliness, or completeness.
SLF's own no-liability clause
Per the SLF data-service terms of use, SLF makes bulletin data available for information purposes only and accepts no liability for the delivery of that data or for decisions made on the basis of it.
