Wet snow requires caution.

Wet avalanches can in isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant. This applies especially below approximately 2600 m. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate wind, clearly visible wind slabs will form in particular in high Alpine regionsAreas above approximately 3000 m (particularly glaciated areas).EAWS glossary. These are small and can only be released in isolated cases. Weak layersSnowpack layer in which the crystals are poorly bonded and the layer has the potential to fail. Typical crystals in dry weak layers causing avalanches are : precipitation particles; surface hoar; faceted crystals; hollow crystals; graupel. Generally >1mm in size, loose grains with few bonds Wet weak layers can be formed by all snow crystal/grain types.EAWS glossary in the old snowpackSnow layers deposited from earlier precipitation, prior to fresh fallen snow. A clear night will be followed in the early morning by favourable conditions generally. Gradual increase in danger of wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation.

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be severely restricted at times. Some rain will fall until late morning in some regions.
