Very isolated avalanche prone locationsLocations delineated by aspect or altitude where avalanches can trigger and people or objects are at risk.EAWS glossary are to be found on very steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in particular in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.

The snowpackSnow deposited on the ground in a multiplicity of layers.EAWS glossary will be in most cases stable. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good. Steep sunny slopes: The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to slight moistening of the snowpack. From a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
