Thus far only a little snow is lying. Wind slabs and gliding snow require caution.

The fresh and older wind slabs can be released in isolated cases on very steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. As a consequence of a light to moderate wind, small wind slabs will form in isolated cases. Shady slopes: The older wind slabs of the last few days have bonded quite well with the old snowpackSnow layers deposited from earlier precipitation, prior to fresh fallen snow.
